Will HydraHorse fit my trailer?

Absolutely! HydraHorse is designed to retrofit into most horse and livestock trailers—and it works for new custom builds too. From 2-horse front loads to 12-horse goosenecks, our patented system adapts with ease. Ask your trailer dealer about installing HydraHorse!

Will water splash out into my trailer?

Our patented bowls are engineered to be nearly spill-proof. A curled lip keeps water in the bowl while traveling—no slippery floors, no mess, no wasted water. Every edge is designed to keep your horse safe.

Do I need special batteries or power?

No special power source is required. The 12-volt DC pump can connect to any “hot” line in your trailer (including lights). We can include everything you need. You can also choose to power the system with a separate battery or even run it gravity-fed.

Will my horse learn to use it?

Horses naturally learn by reward. Add a little water to the bowl, and your horse will start drinking and press the nozzle to release more. When they step back, the water stops. Most horses catch on right away, and you can also entice them with a small handful of grain.

Can I install it myself?

Definitely. We include a step-by-step installation manual, and most installs only require basic tools.

Where can I put the water tank?

Wherever works best for you—front or rear tack area, under the gooseneck, on the roof, even inside mangers. We’ll help you plan your layout so you have everything you need. The basic system starts with 20 feet of tubing, which is usually plenty for a standard two horse setup. (You'll supply the tank)

Can it connect to my existing watering system or weekend quarters?

Yes! HydraHorse can be adapted tie into your current tank or living space setup.

Is the optional wash accessory strong enough?

Yes! The 12V RV pump you can purchase along with our system produces enough pressure to wash away dirt and sweat—perfect for post-ride cleanup or avoiding long wash station lines at shows.

Can it be gravity-fed?

Yes. HydraHorse works with gravity-fed tanks, though water flow will be slower. For best performance, we recommend using a pressurized pump system (optional with kit purchase)

What prevents flooding?

HydraHorse is an on-demand system, so the pump only runs when your horse is drinking. We can also add an optional shut-off switch for extra peace of mind.

Can I move it to another trailer or my barn?

You bet! HydraHorse can be installed and removed easily so you can take it wherever you go - even in your horse stall!
